MAXX mobile unveils new gaming phone GLO MX388


Bangalore: MAXX mobile, the mobile phone company, has launched new gaming phone GLO MX388. The phone comes with 250 preloaded games and dedicated gaming buttons. As gaming is very popular among youngsters these days, gaming application is a much needed feature in a phone. MAXX GLO MX388 comes with 2GB memory card and expandable memory upto 8GB. It comes with FM Radio, MP3 and MP4 players. It has Bluetooth connectivity and the phone runs on JAVA. It also features 1.3 MP camera and 800 mAh battery. The product MAXX GLO MX388 is filled with games with categories like action, racing, puzzles, adventure games, fighting, shooting and sporting. It has also some preloaded games that include, Super Mario, Pacman, Race, Trojan and Battle City. The price of the mobile is 2, 361 and it will be first available in Mumbai and then the other cities of the country. Ajjay Agarwal, Chairman and Managing Director, MAXX Group says, "Gaming has developed at a rapid rate in India and we expect significant growth in the coming years. The tech-savvy Indian youth are now demanding entertainment at their fingertips even when on the move. We would like to take advantage of this trend by reaching out to the Indian youth with yet another cost-effective mobile phone that promises to satisfy their craving for mobile gaming." The company has about 25,000 retailers across India presently and the distribution centers are supported by more than 500 after sales service centers. MAXX sells its mobile phones and accessories at Planet M, Tata Croma, Hyper City, Star Bazzar, Mobile & Gadgets, Indian Naval Canteen, Kings Electronics, Hotspot, Reliance Web World and NEXT electronics. According to FICCI-KPMG, Indian Media and Entertainment Industry report 2011, mobile gaming in India is an 2.8 billion market and it is expected to grow at 45 percent to reach 17.4 billion by 2015. With the large growth of mobile gaming in the country, MAXX mobile is offering a gaming phone with affordable price. Now we have to see how it can attract the Indian youth.
