Lumia 650 to Be the Last of Microsoft Launches This Year


BENGALURU: Microsoft has planned its latest Smartphone launch this year which is believed to make big news in the cellular industry. Now Microsoft is gearing to launch its next and what is believed to be the "last Lumia" smartphone, the Lumia 650 on February 1, according to ndtv.com.

Microsoft has also reportedly focusing on its rumored 'Surface Phone' which is also planned to be launched this year, as we will see the Lumias taking the backseat. The company has recently launched the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950XL flagship phones and a third Lumia 550 which is of a budget offering. The Lumia 650 is expected to be of a lower mid-range phone for the business-oriented consumer and will run Windows 10 directly out-of-the-box.

However, there are very few specifications that have come out regarding Lumia 650. Lumia 650 is said to have a 5-inch 720p display which will be powered by a Snapdragon 210 or 212 processor with 1GB RAM. It will include an internal storage of 8GB, which can be further expanded via microSD card. In addition, it might feature an 8MP rear camera along with a 5MP front facing camera. Also, the Lumia 650 is said to be the first and last Lumia for 2016.

Talking about its other features, it includes Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0, dual-SIM configurations, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, HD Voice, and Wi-Fi calling. To backup all this is a 2000mAh battery. The handset is said to come in White and Black colours.
