List of Smartphones That Will Get Android 6.0 Update

BENGALURU: Google’s event not only released new devices but also announced that Google’s Nexus Smartphones will be rolling out with Android 6.0 Marshmallow in the upcoming week. So, here is the question, “what are the other phones that are going to get the update and when”, reports TechRadar.

Android Marshmallow is now available to owners of Nexus phones, with final version launching on the new Nexus 5X and 6P when they begin shipping at the end of October. The OS will also be available to other Nexus devices, and within a few months to other flagship phones and tablets.

Nexus devices i.e., Nexus 5, 6, 7, 9 and Player should receive the Android Marshmallow update early next week, commencing 5th  October. For all the other devices other than Nexus the update will be made available only in the early 2016.

Phones right now running on Android KitKat will get an upgrade to Android 6.0 Marshmallow, whereas the phones that have Android Lollipop might not get this upgrade. Many well-known companies have already announced the upgrade but yet to know the release date.

Here is the list of companies and the Smartphones which are in the line to get the upgrade:

HTC: The Company has also scheduled an event for October 20, which will see the release of its first Android 6.0 powered Smartphone.
