Lenovo Launches Smartphones in India

Bangalore: The Indian smartphone market is rapidly becoming a lucrative market. This is being proved time and again. This time around it is the well known PC makers Lenovo who have decided to enter the smartphone world.

Earlier Lenovo made as successful entry into the Chinese smartphone market and now they have decided to enter the Indian market with smartphones.

Lenovo has said that all the smartphones will run on Android operating system and will fall in the price range of 6,499 to 28,499.

Amar Babu, MD, Lenovo, said that in the beginning the smartphones will be launched in the South Indian and Gujarat markets and then slowly the handsets will be available in other parts of India as well.

"Lenovo has built a solid and successful mobile phone business in China reaching the number two position in the smartphone category in less than 18 months," said JD Howard, Vice President, Lenovo MIDH.
