Leaked: HTC's 5.9 Inch Phablet- HTC One Max

Bangalore: Manufacturers including Sony and Samsung have already started new trend of releasing various versions of flagship Android like Galaxy S4’s small version named Galaxy S4 Mini and Sony Xperia Z’s bigger version named Xperia Z Ultra. The latest one to join the list is the Taiwanese manufacturer HTC with a 5.9 inch version of their most popular handset, HTC One.

According to images leaked in a Taiwanese website, ePrice, the device named HTC One Max will have the same metal chassis and build quality of HTC One. However, the phablet will sport a more powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.3 GHz. Other specifications include 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal storage, the same Ultrapixel camera from HTC One, a 2.1 MP front camera and a 3300 mAh battery. The device will run Androids latest version Jelly Bean 4.3.

The new phablet will make HTC counter Samsung’s 6.3 inch Galaxy Mega and Sony’s 6.4 inch Xperia Z Ultra. Further details including launch of the device is not yet confirmed. If released, the phablet will complete the company’s ‘One’ portfolio including HTC One, HTC One Mini and the rumored HTC One Max.
