LG Unveils its Optimus Pad LTE Tablet

Bangalore: At CES 2012 we came across lots of LGs new products and it seems like LG is really in a sprint to make more announcements. Now LG raised its curtains on Optimus Pad LTE, a new tablet with True HD IPS display and LTE capabilities.

Dr. Jong-seok Park, President and CEO of LG Mobile Communications Company said, “With tablets generating five times more traffic than the average smartphone, it's not a huge jump to assume that tablet users need and want faster connectivity. The combination of LG's LTE technology with the tablet form factor is a clear advantage for consumers who use a tablet as their primary consumption device when on the move.”

LG’s Optimus Pad LTE measures 245×151.4×9.34 mm, weigh 497 grams and sports; 8.9-inch IPS True HD Display with a resolution of 1280 x 768, Qualcomm 1.5GHz Dual-Core processor, 8MP rear camera for capturing HD video, 2MP front facing camera, HDMI, DLNA, MicroSD card expansion up to 32GB, 6,800mAh battery and runs on Android 3.2 Honeycomb.

The tablet also features Smart Movie Editor for editing images and videos, Web Duet for e-mailing, messaging and is compactable with LG Smartphones. Korean market will be the first one to see this device and there are chances that the tablet will be showcased in MWC in Barcelona after which it will be rolled out globally.
