The QTranslator along with translating words also translates entire sentences and phrases. It translates from 44 foreign languages to 64 user languages. The phone uses Optical Character Recognition that scans the letters with the camera and then utilizes the electronic dictionary or online translation engine to translate the text.

The second smart feature “My Style Keypad” function adjusts the key formation according to how the user uses the phone i.e. depending on whether the user is using one hand or both hands to type.

“The Optimus L9 is a great smartphone that appeals to every consumer,” said Dr. Jongseok Park, President and CEO of LG Mobile Communications Company. “LG will continue to offer differentiated value through the Optimus L9 and strengthen our position in the smartphone market.”
