Huawei-Made Nexus To Feature USB Type-C And A Fingerprint Sensor



BANGALORE: The news is everywhere that there will two models of next Nexus devices; Huawei will manufacture one and another by LG. Huawei’s Nexus Smartphone has been speculated to flaunt metal built. Recently a video was shared on YouTube that gave a glimpse at the purported prototype of the Huawei-made Nexus, reports NDTV.

On the other hand, the user @OnLeaks tweeted that upcoming Huawei made Nexus will sport a 5.7-inch display, front-facing speakers and will feature USB Type-C in it. The earlier leaks suggested that there will be a fingerprint sensor at the back of the phone. The expected dimension of the Huawei-made Nexus is 159.4x78.3x6.6mm, whereas the 8.5mm being the thickest point of the handset.

In the meantime, Evan Blass – one of the most reliable leakster on the Internet, he shared an image of Nexus Smartphone without branding on it. In the shared image, the phone houses the fingerprint scanner on the rear side. However, Blass suggest that the handset will be launched at IFA event held in the next month.

Finally, the 10-second- long video that was shared by Steve Hemmerstoffer claimed to showcase a prototype Huawei-made Nexus. In the video, the fingerprint scanner was located at the rear panel, USB Type –C charging slot and sleek body was seen. The design of the claimed prototype Nexus handset seemed largely based on Huawei devices, which clears the air that Huawei-made Nexus will look like Huawei Smartphone.

Back in June, a Huawei employee confirmed that the company was working with the search giant, Google on the next Nexus Smartphone. The benchmark listing of the LG-made Nexus handset on AnTuTu benchmarks showed an impressive score of 85530. The score of the LG-made Nexus is the highest score any Smartphone achieved till date. The rumours suggest that the new LG manufactured Nexus will be called Google Nexus 5 (2015).
