Huaewi, Airtel Launches India's First LTE Smarphone


Bangalore: The much awaited smartphone Huawei Ascend P1 LTE finally launched in India with Airtel 4G LTE support. The smartphone was launched at Qualcomm’s IQ Conference in New Delhi.

Huawei Ascend P1 LTE smartphone handles high speed data on LTE network and voice calls on the underlying 3G network using Circuit Switched Voice Fall Back (CSFB voice) technology.

The Ascend P1 LTE is just 6.68 mm thick and weighs 110 grams; at this thickness this smartphone is thinner than a pencil.

It features 4.3-inch Super AMOLED screen with Corning Gorilla Glass protection and 540x960 pixels of resolution. It is powered by 1.5 GHz Dual-Core processor, 1 GB of RAM with SGX 540 graphic processing unit and runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system.

It also has 8 MP rear camera with dual LED flash capable of capturing 1080p HD video, has a 1.3 MP front facing camera and 4 GB of internal storage.  For connectivity it has Wi-Fi, GPRS, microUSB, GPS and Bluetooth. The availability and price of the device is not disclosed yet.
