HTC Launches Two Windows Smartphones in India


Bangalore: HTC has launched its latest Windows Phone 8 based flagship smartphone HTC 8X along with mid range HTC 8S in India for 35,023 and 19,260 respectively. HTC has also launched two new Android powered smartphone HTC One X+ and the dual-SIM Desire SV.

 HTC Windows Phone 8X

The smartphone is powered with Qualcomm S4 Dual-core processor at a clock speed of 1.5 GHz (same processor speed as in the Nokia Lumia 920), paired with 1 GB of RAM and comes with an internal memory of 16 GB with a microSD card slot for expanding storage space.

It comes with a 4.3 inch super LCD 2 touchscreen with 720p HD resolution with Gorilla Glass 2 screen protection. It features an 8 mega pixel camera with autofocus and LED flash. The camera also records videos at 1080p. The smartphone also has an impressive 2.1 mega pixel front facing camera which also records 1080p videos. The company promises an ultra-wide-angle on front camera for bigger picture.

HTC Windows Phone 8S

The 8S is a smaller version of 8X, it is powered with Qualcomm S4 dual core processor at a clock speed of 1 GHz, paired with 512 MB of RAM and also comes with 16 GB of internal storage space and a microSD card slot for expanding memory.

As said, it is a smaller version and comes with 4 inch super LCD touch screen with WVGA resolution along with Gorilla Glass scratch protection. It comes with 5 mega pixel camera at the back with LED flash, video recording in 720p and no front facing camera.
