HTC Flagship Mobile HTC One Will Be Launched This Week

Bangalore: The most awaited HTC flagship Smartphone, HTC One, will be launched this week. The new handset will be made available in three countries with this launch, and anywhere else by the end of April, reports Live Mint.

The launch of the device was supposedly delayed due to shortage of the parts which consequently hindered HTC’s attempt to take head on with Samsung S4 and iPhone 5.

The new HTC One will roll out in the UK, Germany and Taiwan in this week and across Europe, North America and most of Asia-Pacific before the end of April, as stated by the company.

“We appreciate our customers’ patience, and believe that once they have the phone in their hands they will agree that it has been worth the wait,” the company statement said.

Wall Street Journal reported this announcement citing an anonymous HTC executive who said that the company is grappling with supply chain problems as the company “has changed its order forecasts drastically and frequently following last year’s unexpected slump in shipments”. And WSJ also citied several retail distributors and telecom operators.

The Android-based HTC One was unveiled in London and New York last month. Company president Peter Chou hailed it as a “technological breakthrough” as he seeks to put up a fight against the hugely popular Apple iPhone and Samsung’s newly released Galaxy S4.
