Gionee to Launch Elife E8 Phablet in India on Oct-8

BENGALURU: Gionee is all set to launch its new Smartphone in India on October 8 for which it has sent invites to various media organizations, reports The Mobile Indian.

The invite doesn’t suggest anything about the new Smartphone and yet it is expected to be about the latest Gionee Elife E8 released in China in June this year.

When it comes to phone features the Gionee Elife E8 is a dual-SIM phone, which has a 6 inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2560x1440 pixels. This 3GB RAM Smartphone is powered by the MediaTek MTK6795 chipset that has a 2 GHz octa core processor and it runs the Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system. It sports a 3500 mAh battery and a fingerprint sensor as well.

It has got a 24 MP rear camera with image stabilization, 4K video recording, auto-focus and also has an 8 MP front camera.

Along with the launch of Gionee Elife E8, as per the invite, the company will also announce something big regarding its presence in e-commerce space.

Gionee advised its Indian customers not to purchase Gionee products from other online retailers. The company had revealed that independent online retailers, who are selling the company’s products, do not have any direct arrangement with them.

Last month, Gionee announced its partnership with Dixon and Foxconn to manufacture its Smartphones and feature phones in India by mid-October this year.
