First 'Made In India' Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime Unveiled At 6,999




BANGALORE: Xiaomi kept their promise by launching the first ‘Made in India’ Smartphone, the Redmi 2 Price and it is priced at 6,999. Earlier this week, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, N Chandrababu Naidu unveiled the phone that has been manufactured by the Xiaomi’s first phone plant in Visakhapatnam, reports NDTV.

The novel Redmi 2 Prime is available to purchase through prominent e-retailers such as Amazon, Flipkart and Snapdeal also it will made available on the company’s official website, Mi.com.

The Redmi 2 Prime is a variant of original Redmi 2 with improved specifications inside. The notable difference among the two is the RAM and internal storage capacity. The new phone comes with double the capacity of RAM and internal memory at 2GB RAM and 16GB inbuilt storage.

Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime doesn’t any other signs of alterations when compared to Redmi 2. As the new device carry an identical 4.7-inch IPS sharp display with HD resolution and 312ppi pixel density. The old Redmi 2 received the Android 4.4 Kitkat update recently and the same OS is used in the newly launched phone and it is layered by the company’s interface, MIUI 6.

The newly launched phone is powered by a 64-bit 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor paired with Adreno 306 GP flaunts a decent 8MP rear camera and 2MP front-facing camera with an option to expand storage through microSD up to 32GB. The Redmi 2 Prime is favored by a 2200mAh battery.
