Chromebox For Business From Google Comes At 90,000

BANGALORE: Google introduced its budget Chromebook laptops called Xolo and Nexian with a price starting from 12,999 recently. This value for money deal left most of the buyers satisfied however, the company released a PC variant called Chromebox for a whooping price of 90,000.

Similar to Chormebooks, Chormebox also will be powered by Chrome OS. Smita Hashim, Global Product Manager, Chrome OS said,, “The Chromebook was launched in India a year ago. Now we are launching three new Chromebooks.”

 The Chromebook laptops, Xolo and Nexian are targeted at students and rare computer users whereas, the Chromebox is for Business segment that is much matured and it can take up more work load. At the same time it can work as an entertainment system, mostly it is targeted at the Small Office or Home Office segment.

Hashim adds, “Since launching Chromebooks in India, we’ve been working to ensure that Chromebooks work in an environment where connectivity can be spotty, and many people’s first experiences with technology are through a phone rather than a laptop.”
