Can Sony's Latest Xperia XA Dual Bring Back Its Market Reputation?


BENGALURU: Amidst all the speculation, Sony has finally announced the availability of Xperia XA Dual for Indian market. The official statement was made at a launched event that commenced earlier part of this month. The smartphone will be available for sale only at the authorized Sony retail units across the country, and is also currently rolled out for sale on Amazon at a price of 20,990.

Customers can rejoice as Sony has revealed the launch offers for their latest smartphone. These offers include free content of  2,700 worth in the form of a three-month subscription to Sony Liv, a Hungama Play subscription stretching for  three months, and Kindle ebooks which worth 1,000. Additionally, users will be presented with multiple numbers of Gameloft games, and the phone will also combine 780 worth of free credits within its bonus offerings.

The Xperia XA Dual smartphone features a 5-inch HD display running on Mobile Bravia engine 2, with a screen resolution of 720x1280 pixels. The phone flaunts a slim body design of 143.6x66.8x7.9mm dimension, weighing 138 grams. The smartphone is powered by a robust octa-core MediaTek MT6755 processor, clubbed with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of built-in storage. Identical to its premium counterpart Xperia X, the phone supports storage expansion through microSD card i.e., up to 200GB.

The device runs on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS, with company's UI on top. On the camera part, the smartphone combines a powerful 13-megapixel lens on the rear with Exmor RS technology, and features capabilities like mobile sensor, hybrid autofocus, and LED flash. On the front side, the phone sports an 8-megapixel camera. Furthermore, a 2300mAh battery powers the latest Sony offering. Sony Xperia XA Dual will be available for customers in White, Graphite Black, Lime Gold, and Rose Gold color variants. The design is nearly borderless and the phone integrates a quick-launch camera button.
