Phil Zimmerman the creator of Pretty Good Privacy(PGP), a data encryption and decryption computer programme and founder of Silent Circle, an encrypted communication firm has come with the unique solution for this snooping- the Blackphone. It is a completely encrypted phone which protects one from the prying eyes of government as well as hackers and also impresses with its sleek designer looks.

The official website of Blackphone claims it to be the “first ever smart phone to put the privacy and control over everything else.”

The creators of the phone, a Spanish phone maker Geeksphone and Silent Circle, plans to unveil the phone at the Mobile World Congress 2014 in Barcelona. It is made with a modified version of Android which they have named PrivatOS. The OS enables the user to do everything that a normal phone does via an anonymous VPN. Apart from sending and receiving secured texts, calls and emails, it also protects data that is stored in the phone. The Blackphone will be compatible with any GSM network and will not be bound in by geographical variations.

Phil Zimmermann, one of the creators for Blackphone stated, "I have spent my whole career working towards the launch of secure telephony products. Blackphone provides you with everything you need to ensure privacy and control of your communications, along with all the other high-end smartphone features you have come to expect."

The makers have not disclosed the price yet and will start taking order only after the upcoming Mobile World Congress.

The other specialists behind the making of the sensational Blackphone are Javier Agüera and Rodrigo Silva-Ramos founders of Geekphones, Silent Circle Chief Executive Mike Janke, and co founder of PGP John Callas.

In the wake of the mass surveillance being done worldwide by superpowers, smart technology like Blackphone is sure to get many supporters, loyal fans and instant buyers as well simply because everyone loves their privacy and guards it ferociously.
