Asus Zenfone2: First Impressions Of First Ever 4 GB RAM Smartphone


BANGALORE: Asus has got a pretty good reputation at providing smartphones at budget range. The smartphones from the company are filled with features that other companies are featuring at high prices, reports ET.

The latest iteration from its Asus Zenfone series is the Zenfone2 which is the first Smartphone to have a 4GB RAM, which is the USP of the product. To discuss the other features that makes the Zenfone2 sum up to your expectations to be a good buy are follows:

4 GB RAM

Touted to be the first 4GB RAM Smartphone, the Zenfone 2 final variant is powered by a 2.3 GHz processor that makes it feature rich. The Smartphone comes in three variants with the difference majorly being in RAM, Internal Storage and Processor. The 4GB variant, the final one will be the priciest version of all quoting to its spec rich gadgetry.

The processor used in the 4GB variant is Z3580 Intel Atom Processor and Power VR G6430 GPU.

Display

The display will remind you of a phablet with 5.5 inch display, but Asus has made it sure the overall dimensions are not different from the Asus Zenfone 5 which has 5 inch display.

The display is of 1080p full HD IPS display with wide viewing angles, vibrant colors and good brightness levels.

Features

The touch response is pretty good and smooth, but the phone is a bit large to handle unless you have big hands. In order to make your experience better at handling, the phone comes with a feature that will be enabled by double tapping, after which it invokes special mode for single handed use just like Apple’s Reachability.

The design may be the next USP after the RAM factor, as the design is strikingly fabulous with the back panel giving a metal scribed look.

The build is good and handy enough with the volume bezel located at the back of the panel, a takeout from LG smartphones.
