Aakash 2 Tablet Available for Pre-Booking

Bangalore: The new tablet from Datawind, Aakash 2 has been launched by the President of India; Pranab Mukherjee.

Akash 2 comes with 7 inch display which comes with a resolution of 480 X 800 pixels. The tablet is powered by a 1 GHz processor ARM Cortex-A8 mobile processor backed by 512 MB of RAM. It will function on Android 4.0.3 ice Cream Sandwich operating system. It comes with a front facing VGA camera which allows the users to make video calls.

The official price of the tablet has not yet been announced by the company. Thought they told the online site the Mobile Indian that they would provide the device to HR Ministry for 2,263 for students.

The availability date of the tablet is not yet been confirmed but for those who want to pre order the tablet they can do so on Datawind website.
