The Japanese electronics giants Sony have entered the dual SIM market with a budget smartphone. Xperia Tipo Dual is very similar to Xperia Tipo except for the fact that Tipo dual comes with dual SIM connectivity. The phone features a 3.2 inch TFT capacitive touch screen which supports a resolution of 320 X 480 pixels. It is powered by an 800 MHz Qualcomm Scorpion processor backed by 512 MB of RAM. The phone camera comes with a 3.1 mega pixel front facing camera which clicks pictures with resolution of 2048 X 1536 pixels. But the phone is missing a secondary camera. The Tipo Dual comes with a hardware button, using which one can easily switch between the two SIMs.

The smartphone functions on Android 4.0 Ice cream sandwich operating system. The phone is powered by a 1500 mAh Li-Ion battery with promised talk time of up to 4 hours.
