5 Expected Trends from Smartphone Industry in 2016

BANGALORE: Only a month remaining to the New Year and we can predict the world of Smartphone by the progress we have achieved until now. The year 2015 has been a transition from FHD to QHD displays, micro USB to USB Type-C and native support to fingerprint sensor on Android devices. So, the  changes and trends can be expected to continue and flourish at its best in2016. Here are some of the trends you can look forward to from the Smartphone Industry, reports PhoneArena.

Foldable Display

This year, when Samsung launched their flagship Smartphone – Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge, the firm spilled beans over their plans of introducing foldable displays. Another Korean Smartphone marker, LG, has hinted at the production of foldable display too. So we can expect foldable display devices replacing Smartphones and Tablets together.

4K Resolution Screen

In the fourth quarter of this year, Sony introduced the world’s first 4K resolution screen in a Smartphone. As the craze about virtual reality climbs in, the idea of 4K display seems intimidating now. However, the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium is not a full time 4K resolution display, it switches when it is required to bring out a 4K quality picture. Therefore, we can see more 4K screens in Smartphones and full time 4K rendering devices in 2016.
