Bangalore: Feature phones, the beginners of mobile phone revolution had a firm presence in the post-millennium market which eventually led to the high revenues for companies Nokia, Samsung and the like. Even though Samsung and Apple rule the mobile market today, some of the most popular phones were sold almost ten years ago,  in numbers, which the current iPhones and others can’t even dream of.

Here’s a list of the top sold mobile phones and Smartphones since 2000, compiled by ZDNet.

#20 LG Shine

Sold- 8 million
LG Shine, slider- style mobile phone manufactured by LG Electronics was launched in 2008 as a second installment of LG Black Label series. The phone expanded its markets to Europe, South America and certain parts of North America and sold around 8 million devices.

#19 Motorola Droid Bionic

Sold- 13 million
Android-based Smartphone, Motorola droid Bionic, is designed by Motorola. Earlier, it was released in Q2 2011, but was delayed due to certain complaints of audio troubles by owners and was eventually released in September 2011. It’s estimated to be sold around 13 million units in two years
