iPhone 8: An 'All Glass' Enclosure with AMOLED Display Panel

BANGALORE: According to reports, Apple iPhone will be witnessing a major redesign in 2017, with the aluminum casing being replaced with an all-glass enclosure and an AMOLED screen in place of IPS LCD panel. The hype circulating around iPhones comes after the Apple Analyst  Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI, claims about the launch.

The AMOLED screen is used to balance the extra weight resulting from the all glass casing of the phone. Since glass materials are prone to damage, it is likely for people to believe that the new Apple device is less durable. But, Apple has used glass as primary shell construction material for most of its previous editions including iPhone 4 and 4s.

The remodeling of iPhones with glass casing can be seen as Apple’s attempt to bring uniqueness in its product range, since the Aluminium design has got fusty by now. It is more exciting that Apple’s biggest competitor in the cell phone market, Samsung has chosen glass backs for its flagship products Galaxy S7 and S7 edge.

Kuo however has not given any clear information on how Apple will make the iPone 8 purely out of glass, and therefore it is to be left to the imagination of the geeks. It is currently uncertain how an iPhone could be constructed primarily out of glass.  The redesigned iPhone is expected to bring the Apple sales on top again.

The launch of iPhone 8 can be seen in light of a continuous upgrade pattern that discards the designs in every 2 years. It is also to be noted that Apple iPhone 7 is yet to be released this year. Leaks to date have remarked simple changes for the iPhone 7, with a design principally the same as the existing iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus models. Now with new product releases every year it can be concluded that the Cupertino tech giant anticipates a whooping expansion in the mobile phone market.
