Dr Bruce Douglass
Chief Evangelist, IBM Rational
Bruce Powel Douglass is the Chief Evangelist for IBM Rational® with over 30 years specializing in the development of real-time and embedded systems and software. He is the author of the IBM Rational Harmony™ for Embedded RealTime Development (Harmony/ERT) process. He and Peter Hoffmann developed the original Harmony process that combined systems and software engineering with a well specified hand-off for a smooth, integrated workflow. Bruce is a well known speaker and member of the Advisory board of the Embedded Systems Conference and UML World Conference. He is also an invited speaker at many other conferences, such as Embedded World (Germany), Embedded Systems (Japan), SET (Switzerland), OOP (Germany), and Software Development. The special “Bruce’s night” at the Embedded World show has been popular for many years. In his role at IBM, he provides both consulting and advanced training in the application of UML®, SysML, and DoDAF to not only IBM Rational customers, but also to IBM’s own professional service engineers and application engineers, R&D, and marketing. Bruce developed the IBM Rational Rhapsody® DoDAF profile that currently ships with the product as well as a Safety Analysis Profile that allows engineers to include Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) diagrams, Fault Means and Effect Analysis (FMEA), and hazard analysis in their models. Dr. Sriram Sethuraman

Sriram Sethuraman received the B.E. degree in EEE from Anna University, Madras in 1990, the M.S. degree from Villanova University, Villanova in 1992 and the Ph.D. degree from Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh in 1996. He was a Member of Technical Staff (MTS) from 1996-2000 and a Senior MTS from 2001-2002 at Sarnoff Corporation (formerly, David Sarnoff Research center), Princeton, NJ. In mid-2002, he joined the Video and Imaging group at Ittiam Systems (P) Ltd., Bangalore as a Technologist, and currently heads the Video Technology Solutions team at Ittiam. He is a Distinguished Member of Technical Staff at Ittiam. His areas of interest include video compression, video processing, multimedia communication systems, and embedded systems. He is the author/co-author of over 30 refereed technical publications and 23 issued (and 5 pending) patents in the video compression and multimedia area. He has represented Sarnoff at the MPEG-4/MPEG-7 standardization meetings. He is a Senior Member of IEEE since 2004.
Vidhumouli Hunsigida

Dr. Purnendu Sinha is the Lab Group Manager of Electrical and Software Architecture Group at India Science Lab (ISL), General Motors Global Research and Development, Bangalore. At ISL, he conducts research in strategic ECS architecture for automotive systems. Prior to joining General Motors, he worked as a Principal Scientist at Philips Research Asia, Bangalore conducting research in the area of software engineering. Before that, he had held faculty positions at the Indian Institute of Information Technology at Bangalore as an Associate Professor, and as an Assistant Professor with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Concordia University, Montreal, Canada. Purnendu obtained his Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from Boston University, Boston, MA. He has published over 50 articles in reputed journals and peer-reviewed conferences. He has 2 patent applications filed. He is a Senior Member of IEEE. His research interests include dependable distributed systems, component-based software engineering, software architectures, software reliability and formal-methods-based verification and validation of distributed fault-tolerant and real-time protocols.

Graduated with a Bachelors in Electronics & Communication Engineering from PSG Tech, Coimbatore in 1988. Subsequently, completed Masters in Engineering in Computer Science and Engineering from the School of Automation, IISc, Bangalore in 1990. Joined Wipro Infotech R&D as a campus recruit immediately in Feb 1990, and have been with Wipro ever since. Initially worked on Wipro&rsquot;s products for the domestic market in areas such as Graphic accelerator systems, workstation development, Operating System porting, Device drivers and other system software for the first 3 years. As Wipro moved into providing Product engineering services to global clients, moved on to work on client projects. Worked on projects for large server OEMs in developing and subsequently maintaining an operating system for their Fault Tolerant computing platform for about 4 years. Later moved into projects in the networking area for several customers, covering projects across the different product layers from low level embedded software to the upper network management layers. Subsequently in 2002, moved into the Semiconductor Business unit of Wipro managing the delivery of complete end-to-end projects for them. Moved to a functional role in 2006 looking at the competency development for the engineers working on Embedded systems related projects and also handled some of the campus initiatives of Wipro Technologies.
Vishal Suresh

With a BE in Computer Science and a Masters degree in Software Systems, Vishal started his career with Siemens Communication Software in the Telecommunications domain. After a few years with Siemens, he joined NXP Semiconductors (then Philips Semiconductors) in 1998 and has since then held various positions within the organization. To start with he worked on research & development of System level debug methodologies helping setup and grow the activity. In 2006, he went onto head the System and Software Design department, adding System-on-chip modeling methodologies, HW-SW partitioning and HW-SW co-design methodologies also to the departments portfolio. In early 2007, he moved on to start a Digital TV platform development program. At peak the program contained over 100 engineers in multiple locations engaged in development, integration and design-in of DTV platforms with A-brand customers. His current role involves business development focusing on setting up a Design house eco-system in India, executing joint go-to-market projects with these design houses and influencing strategic partnerships.
