Anil Chanana

Anil Chanana is a finance professional with over 25 years’ rich experience in this domain. Anil’s first stint at HCL was way back in 1985, when the company was still called Hindustan Computers Limited. During his tenure with HCL he has held various positions in the finance function, having been involved with financial planning, business finance, fund raising, investment of surpluses, treasury, secretarial, investor relations, global taxation, corporate restructuring, negotiation of multi-million dollar contracts with customers and partners, defending litigation and so on. His last assignment was as Head of Strategic Initiatives Group based out of Sunnyvale, California. He has successfully negotiated almost all key joint ventures (Hewlett-Packard, Deluxe Corporation, Perot Systems Corporation, Deutsche Bank, British Telecom and so on) which HCL entered into and divestures which HCL undertook. After spending 4 years with HCL-America, he came back to India as Executive Vice President - Finance for HCL Technologies Ltd. and is today the Chief Financial Officer for the organization. Prior to joining HCL, Anil spent the initial 3 years of his career with Ansaldo Impianti spa and CMC, now part of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). Anil is a qualified Chartered Accountant and has attended various programs including the Leadership Program conducted by Hewlett-Packard and an Executive Program in Finance from Stanford University.

An "Entrepreneur in an Employee" is the best description for Mr. Kumar CG, or CGK as he is called. He started off as an Electrical engineer working for a Power utility company drawn to IT filed when IT was still not a buzzword. Did programming for a while, worked in a development startup and also did a lot of bespoke development. For a short while he did try his hands on product development and later handled development of solutions on Tally Solutions for many multinationals. After this company got taken over by Tally, he heads the Enterprise, Government solution delivery business, as Vice President.

Through his career, Ganesh Murthy has worked for some of the best known brands in the business such as Wipro, Texas Instruments, Gillette, ITC and Thomson. He has experience in Indian multinationals like ITC and Wipro where he headed the Corporate Taxation function and also in foreign MNCs like Texas Instruments and Gillette where he headed the finance function for India operations. Ganesh is an Associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He is also a member of the Economic Affairs Panel of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).

Venkataram started his career with Simon Carves where he was involved in construction of a refinery, a fertilizer plant an oil and gas terminal and a boiler. After 5 years with Simon Carves, he joined Det Norske Veritas (DNV) as a Field Engineer for project inspections. He spent 6 years in Iraq in various oil and gas projects. He later returned to India and worked in projects such as IFFCO Aonla , NFL Guna and other sites ensuring that the projects were constructed to specifications.Following the introduction of ISO 9000 and its certification, he was one of the pioneers and a prime driver of the new concept of managing businesses. He headed the certification operations of DNV covering Middle East, South and South East Asia with countries starting from Egypt, through Middle East, Iran, India and its neighbors,Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam. He later headed the internal global business process re-engineering project as Director. After completing 25 years with DNV he joined British Standards Institution(BSI) as the Managing Director for India. He continues to help the Indian industry with the latest standards based management approach that includes Business Continuity Management, Energy Management and more recently Risk management, and he is one of the few experts in this field, having practiced Risk Management in organizations for over 15 years. He has facilitated several risk assessment workshops in companies, using a model developed by himself. He has created the BSI’s global courses on Risk Management.He has attended the Advanced Management Development Programme at IMD, Lausanne.
