Bangalore: The Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board (KIADB) is planning to collect vast investment by expanding land for industrial growth.  The board has planned to build the industrial belt across the city suburbs as these areas are well connected and have the infrastructure needed that would suit best for industrial development, as per TOI report.

As, the state government gave leniency in rules and regulation for the development of land in areas like Bidadi, Ramanagar, Sathanur, Solur and Nandagudi, the KIADB is looking forward to build more industrial estates within these regions. More than 7000 industries are placed in Ramanagar Industrial area and now KIADB has notified land in Kanakapura area for Harohalli Phase III project which is now in focus, as per KIADB sources.

The industrial belt of Harohalli accommodates granite, printing, automobile and general engineering units. This industrial region is well connected with Bangalore-Dindigal NH 209 benefitting the surrounding areas in real estate development.

Also, KIADB has proposed to obtain 1000 acres land near Tava re ke re for industrial development. The region is close to Hosur Road and the Outer Ring road and is expected to be one of the upcoming major industrial belt in the city.

Auto hub in Narsapur Phase II is another Industrial area which is believed to change the demography of the area, nearly 1500 acres of land has been set aside in this region for industrial development as per sources in KIADB, big automobile industries are looking forward to set up assembly plants in this region.

Bangalore is becoming one of the favorite destinations for auto industry after Gujarat, Chennai, Pune and the NCR as the city is in close proximity to Chennai port. Since the demand for auto industries is at large in India, the city is getting an extra bonus because of the upcoming rail link between Whitefield and Kolar with a station at Narsapur. Apart from these, huge lands are available for industrial belt to extend further like the Vemagal region which is 10 km from Narsapur, on Kolar-Devanagiri State Highway.
