About University of Spokane:The urban research campus of Washington State University, University of Spokane combines the scholarship of a nationally ranked research university with the opportunities of its urban setting.From pharmacy clerkship to WWII-era night classes, University of Spokane courses offered in Spokane since the 1920s set the stage for bigger things. And then in 1989—when University of Spokane founded University of Spokane as its urban research campus—those big things started to happen.Cutting-edge buildings. Research institutes. School of Medicine At University of Spokane :WWAMI Spokane University of Washington School of Medicine students to spend their first, third and fourth years of medical school in Spokane sophisticated medical community , working closely with faculty, physicians, and classmates.The WWAMI program came about in 1972 as a partnership between the University of Washington School of Medicine and the states of Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana, and Idaho to fight a growing shortage of physicians in those areas without medical education programs. With the growing physician disparity in eastern Washington, the WWAMI program was expanded to include University of Spokane as a new site in 2008. Alongside the expansion of the medical program, Regional Initiatives in Dental Education (RIDE), an extension of the University of Washington School of Dentistry, was brought to the River point Campus.

School of Engineering and Technology Management At University of Spokane :The Master of Engineering and Technology Management (METM) program provides working professionals with the tools they need to lead in technically-based industries. Business and engineering employees learn together—and mastery of the practical curriculum often provides immediate on-the-job improvements.We offer all courses through an innovative blend of traditional classroom instruction and the latest in video technologies, and we take our program to the Boeing Company and various sites around Washington State.At University of Spokane, students benefit from interaction with professional peers in a variety of industries, learning from a network of professors located at each of our campuses.

- Educates more than 1,000 upper-division undergraduate and graduate students.Provides upper-division undergraduate nursing education in partnership with Eastern Washington University and Whit worth University as part onation’s first, oldest, and most comprehensive nursing education consortium.
- Offers a Master of Nursing degree (MN) with programs leading to specialization 1) as a family nurse practitioner, 2) a psychiatric/mental health nurse practitioner, and/or 3) the advanced practice for population health focused nurse.
- Welcomed its inaugural class of PhD students during the summer of 2007, providing quality doctoral education using a combination of face-to-face distance education methods.
- Is a national leader in distributive nursing education models, serving students across five locations across the state in Spokane, Tri-Cities,Vancouver, Walla Walla and Yakima.
- Is engaged in research studies leading to improvements in nursing care, the health care system, and the health of the public. Awards more than $160,000 in scholarships to nursing students each year.
