About Touro University - California:

Touro University California is a rapidly expanding graduate education institution focusing on health careers and teacher preparation programs. Touro University is composed of two campuses - the main campus located in Vallejo, California and the branch campus in Henderson, Nevada. This University is one of more than 25 division campuses within Touro College, a Jewish sponsored not-for-profit educational system principally located in New York.

Schools and Colleges:

College of Osteopathic Medicine (California): In April of 1995, the BPPVE authorized Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine (TUCOM) to confer the Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree. After obtaining both pre-accreditation and provisional accreditation from the Bureau of Professional Education of the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), TUCOM was authorized to open its doors to students during the 1997-1998 academic year.

College of Health Sciences (California):The Physician Assistant Program is fully accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA). Our next scheduled visit from the ARC-PA is 2011.

College of Pharmacy:The Touro University California College of Pharmacy Doctor of Pharmacy program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education.

College of Osteopathic Medicine (Nevada):In January 2004, the Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation (COCA) of the AOA approved the development of a branch campus of the Touro University COM-CA in Henderson, Nevada. In May 2005, the COCA of the AOA approved the inclusion of Touro University COM-NV within the scope of accreditation of Touro University COM-CA.
