About La Sierra University
La Sierra University, an institution nationally acclaimed for its diverse campus and its service to others, offers a transformational experience that lasts a lifetime. U.S. News & World Report named La Sierra University the most diverse university in the western United States the past five years. And in early 2008 the Corporation for National and Community Service selected La Sierra for the Honor Roll with Distinction, part of the 2007 President’s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll program. The award recognized La Sierra’s students for providing nearly 45,000 hours of service. Such efforts included international economic development projects by La Sierra’s World Cup-winning Students In Free Enterprise team, and community projects through La Sierra’s campus-wide, Service-Learning program.Today the institution provides more than 120 bachelors, masters and doctoral degrees for about 2,000 students. Programs are offered in the School of Business, the School of Education, the School of Religion, the College of Arts and Sciences and in the Division of Continuing Studies.

The College of Arts & Sciences and its three sister schools—the School of Education, the School of Business, and the School of Religion—comprise the academic campus of La Sierra University.
School of Business:The School of Business offers baccalaureate degrees (BA, BS), and a graduate degree (MBA). All are designed to educate leaders who will simultaneously create value and make a difference.La Sierra trains students motivated by a commitment to integrity, compassion, and social justice who will use their skills in nongovernmental organizations, corporations, government agencies, church institutions, or community organizations as social entrepreneurs: people who expand economic opportunity and grow wealth in underdeveloped communities by promoting the creation of innovative enterprises that in turn make tangible, positive social change happen.The La Sierra MBA program offers you a solid grounding in analytic skills; the management and reporting of business information; value creation; leadership; and the legal, political, economic, and global environment of business. And ours is the world's only MBA program with core courses in ethics, workplace spirituality and social entrepreneurship.
La Sierra University is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, the regional higher education accrediting association for California. WASC accreditation verifies that La Sierra's programs, including those offered by the School of Business, meet standards requiring suitable program capacity as well as educational effectiveness.
