The Glamorgan University of Glamorgan has already undergone major expansion in recent years. In 2007, the Cardiff School of Creative & Cultural Industries was established (and located in the iconic ATRiuM building) and the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama became a part of the 'Glamorgan Group’ to provide comprehensive programmes and facilities for the creative and cultural industries in the capital city. Merthyr Tydfil College also became part of the Glamorgan Group in May 2006 and, since that time, has engaged in an extensive redevelopment programme, including new course developments and enhanced

The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences : The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences encompasses a wide range of courses and subject areas that share common ideals. All of the faculty’s awards are dedicated to employability and career development, supported by a robust tradition of academic learning. We work closely with employers to ensure our graduates meet the demanding requirements of today’s workplace.

The faculty has an excellent teaching reputation – many staff are actively involved in world-class research, so students will be taught by lecturers who are national and international experts in their field. The teaching staff include the current TS Eliot prize winner, Professor Philip Gross, Ross Hall, who was the sport psychologist to the British Paralympic

Rugby team and Professor Howard Williamson, a member of the national ‘Street Weapons Commission’, which was chaired by Cherie Blair.
