FREMONT, CA: Series A funding of $8 million led by Acrew Capital and followed by Greycroft Partners, Correlation Ventures, and Ridge Ventures is secured by Petabyte Technology. Greycroft, Ridge Ventures, and Loeb.nyc led the seed round.
Rhapsody.vet is a Petabyte’s flagship solution and is a cloud-based platform that enables veterinary practices to modernize and build a sustainable future. The platform’s simple design makes for a smooth transition that allows practices to increase efficiency and better meet client needs quickly.
Co-founder and CEO of Petabyte, Michael Hyman, says Petabyte is helping veterinary practices across the country to gain better control of their operations, which is leading to better pet patient care and increases revenue.
A partner at Acrew Capital, Vishal Lugani, and Ian Sigalow, co-founder and partner at Greycroft Partners have joined Petabyte’s Board of Directors. Former president of Verizon Media’s ad platform business, Tim Mahlman will also act as Petabyte’s President. Before joining Petabyte, Michael Hyman held executive positions at leading companies such as Amazon and Verizon and worked as CEO of many successful startups.
With this funding, the company will speed up product development and expand its customer service teams, which support veterinary practices with best-in-class technology and training. The company also has offices in Bellevue, New York, Cleveland, Naples, and San Francisco.
Co-founder and COO of Petabyte, Alex Krooglik, formerly a co-founder of Embrace Pet Insurance, mentioned that with their technology, they could finally get a control on their data to optimize efficiency, augment cost capture, and realize what is happening in their practice.
