Maybe you’re bored watching horror movies, which always follows a cliché style and it’s no longer scarier to you. But being an adrenaline junkie, to get that immense rush it’s better to experience a terrifying yet enjoyable roller coaster ride nearby. Thrill rides are fun if you are with the right spirited guys and I believe a roller coaster ride is always in your bucket-list.  If you are one looking at taking your adrenaline rush high, our article is the perfect read. We have mentioned about the world’s most thrilling roller coasters, brining you the most craziest and dangerous ones as not all the amusement parks have the thrilling roller coasters. Strictly it’s not for the soft hearted people; if you are one of them, stay away from these monstrous rides at any cost.

Formula Rossa (Abu Dhabi, UAE)

Given the title of ‘the fastest roller coaster in the world’, this roller coaster has a top speed of 150 mph. Located at Ferrari World, Abu Dhabi, this ride accelerates from zero to top speed of 150 miles per hour in just five seconds. Woah! This stunning rise in acceleration is almost five times faster than the free fall. The track is made in the shape of the famous Italian track ‘Monza’ and it is 2.2 kilometers in length. The thrilling ride consists of four trains with four passenger cars and after the launch, it ascends 171 ft. hill and will cover the long track in 1.32 minutes. [$$$$]

Kingda Ka (New Jersey, United States)

The United States is the land of terrifying roller coasters but out of them all, this huge Kingda Ka is the fastest. With the hydraulic launch mechanism in the ride, the ride clocks a peak speed of 128 miles per hour in merely 3.5 seconds. Situated at Six Flags great Adventure, the maximum height it climbs is 456 feet. This scary roller coaster descends 418 feet straight down at an angle of 270 degrees and notably the ride upside down track with blazing speed makes weightlessness among riders.

Top Thrill Dragster (Ohio, United States)

With a ride duration of 30 seconds, Top Thrill Dragster is the first ever strata coaster in the world. Also, it is the second fastest roller coaster in the United States. In just four seconds, this frightening trip can accelerate from 0 to 120 mph. As the icing on the cake, this train ride follows up with a 270-degree twist as well to make the experience even scarier. The height restriction for this ride is from 1.32m to 1.98m. [$$$$]

Dodonpa (Yamanashi, Japan)

Japan is often famous for the crazy activities and this ride is the fastest roller coaster in Japan. Length of the rack is 1189m and as the trip goes by, it reaches a height of 52m. Started in 2001, this ride held the title of fastest roller coaster ride for two years. This amazing ride is located at Fuji-Q highland amusement park and it is believed that the speed is 2.7 times faster than the acceleration due to gravity thus offering a thrilling floating experience to the riders.

Superman: Escape from Krypton (California, United States)

What makes this roller coaster different from others is the fact that it is a steel shuttle roller coaster and it takes a maximum speed of 100mph. Interestingly, it was intended to open in 1996, but met with hold ups and was opened to public after 15 years. But the wait was worth it as the roller coasters are backward facing trains. The trains can rise to a height of 415 feet with total ride duration of 56 seconds with an acceleration of 0 to 100mph in just seven seconds. Located at Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia of California, this fearsome roller coaster is the third-tallest structure of any roller coaster in the world
