Namita Desai is one among the graded dancers and achievers of today. She strives to excel in the field of Dance.  Her initial training in Bharatanatyam was under Late. Shri P.V.Upadhyaya, Smt. Mandakini Udupi and Vidwan Shri K.Ramamurthy Rao of Mysore. In order to nurture her deep interest in this art, she moved to Bangalore and received training in both Bharatanatyam and Mohini Attam from Smt. Usha Datar of 'Karnataka Kala Shree' and 'Kalamandalam'. Besides having a degree in commerce, she has done her senior grade examination in Bharatanatyam conducted by Karnataka Govt. (1998) and Master’s Degree in dance from Bangalore University (2003).
 
Namitha Desai is under the tutelage of Guru  B. Bhanumati,  Bangalore since 2003  and she has successfully completed her 'Rangapravesha' in the year 2005.
