About
The Academy was inagurated by Anil Kumble, one of the
most successful cricketers of India and Karnataka on 29th of March 2009.
Anil Kumble inaugurated his former Karnataka team-mate J. Arun Kumar’sacademy here on Sunday afternoon. The Nimritha J. Arun Kumar CricketAcademy is located on Sarjapur Road.
This is what Kumble had to say on the Academy and Arun - “Arun is afriend and we call him ‘JAK’ and it is nice to see that he is givingback to the game while he is still an active player.
“Knowing JAK, I am sure he is not the kind of cricketer who will merelylend his name to the academy. He might miss out for the next two monthsdue to the Indian Premier League but he should be a regular presencehere after that and it helps that he stays next door to the academy.
