Animation and VFX industry is expected to grow at a CAGR of 18.5% to
reach INR 55.9 billion by 2015.Animation sector alone is expected to
touch INR20.8 billion by 2015 with growth largely driven by the services
market for the next two years, post which IP creation is also expected
to see a significant pick up. The industry also witnesses some traction
with distributing content overseas as well a pickup in demand for local
content. Amongst the worldwide box office gross of 2010, animation as a
genre was the most successful. Moreover among the top 10 box office
grosser worldwide in 2010, six were animated films. Some of the recent
