Animated movies have an integral part of a kid’s life. It is not surprising to see adults getting attracted to animated movies.  You see how some of these animated cartoon characters become so famous that we have directors using these characters through the stars, so the small screen hits turned out to be mega screen hits. TV channels are catering to the interest of their audience by having a complete animated or cartoon programs.  Ever wondered who created Tom and Jerry, Pink Panther, Woody Wood Peker, Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck? Well, the entire credit goes of the animator and his creativity.
What is Animation?
Animation is a simulation of movement that provides the illusion of motion by displaying a collection of images in rapid sequence. Each image contains a small change, for example hands, leg, neck moves slightly, or the wheel of a car turns. When the images are viewed rapidly, your eye fills in the details and the illusion of movement is complete.  There are many software applications that enable you to create animations that you can display on a computer monitor.
In addition to its use for entertainment, animation is considered a form of art. It is often displayed and celebrated in film festivals throughout the world. Animation has also found place in learning and instructional applications as well.
Cartoon animation is often considered to be animation in its classic form. The animated cartoon made its debut in the early part of the 20th century and calls for the use of 24 different drawings per second. In traditional animated cartoons, frames are hand drawn.
Animation is both time-consuming and costly to produce.
For this reason, most of the animation made for television and film is produced by professorial studios. Today there are several independent studios. Resources, such as lower-cost animation programs and distribution networks, make the work of the independent animator much easier than it was in the past.
The difference between animation and video
Video takes continuous motion and breaks it up into discrete frames; animation starts with independent pictures and puts them together to form the illusion of continuous motion. When animation is used for films or movies, each frame is produced on an individual basis. Frames can be produced using computers or photographs of images that are either drawn or painted. Frames can also be generated by altering a model unit in small ways and using a special camera to take pictures of the results. No matter what method is used, the film or movie that results fools the eye into seeing continuous movement.
Animation is having a huge scope in terms of employment. To be a part of the animated world and take up animation as your profession you need a lot of creativity, innovativeness and hard work.

We, at Fat Balloon Animations believe that the best training can happen only in a studio environment. To offer the aspirant "an old school" method of learning where the senior artist mentors the student assessing his strengths and weaknesses. We work on the philosophy that animation is a predominant art form which needs a specialized training and “WHO YOU LEARN FROM” is more important than "where you learn".
