Short Description

There is No Short Cut to Success, Business is like Giant wheel with Ups and downs- End of the Day it is fun.

Brief about company, offerings and foundation of the company

Techtrend Solutions offering a wide range of services ranging from Web Design, Software Development, Mobile and Desktop Applications to Online Marketing Solutions. We do work in PHP (Joomla, Drupal, Word press, ecommerce, etc.) and .net. We started in 2004 in a small way in the Garage Space with one Developer, and now we are almost 22 In Team.

Risks involved in business and way of addressing

Getting well trained manpower was always problem in the beginning so we hired fresher’s and trained them. A lot of competition in the market. More Freelancers providing the same service However, again the opportunity or I should say strength of our Company has the quality and Support for work we have done in various domains of Designing and development. At the end of the day, a decent price and committed deliverable has the Deal.

Most critical decision

Working as a Branch Manager and having a comfortable Salary or Start a New Business Venture Which My family opposed .I chose the latter without any support. The Only Push I Got was from My Wife who believed in my work and my interest in the Software Domain marketing Experience and agreed for a final go ahead.

Some of the difficulties faced while building product/ solution

Getting well trained manpower was a problem in the beginning so we hired fresher’s and trained them. And also to get business from overseas market.

Different actions if I rebuild my company from scratch all over again

Would have been got in to Product Development In Healthcare and Education.

Motivation and Drives factor

The Drive to be motivated by the comfort of supporting yourself ,TEAM and the  family by  constant progress. I find it exciting to implement new ideas and see them through to fruition. I find the most satisfaction in implementing “out-of-the-box” ideas that ultimately prove their value.

Unique about my way of motivating troops

Motivating a group of people presents a challenge for small business owners. To get an entire group or team motivated to work on a project, special care must be paid to the motivating factors used and the individual personalities of the people who need to be motivated. And make them believe in company’s goals and objectives.

Way of choosing my people

In the Software Field the Attrition Level is too high, We Normally take BE or Btech Fresher’s train them and then implement them On Development.

The challenges and lessons learnt to get first customer

When I was working for a Publishing Company, My Target Customers were mostly B2B,I had a client who Signed for our Publications and he wanted a web site but didn’t had an IDEA whom to Approach, And he asked me if I can set it up for him which I did in Time and took the First Cheque of Rs.18,000/- .This Motivated me to focus On Enterpreniship and from then on  there was no looking back.

Experience of reaching out to potential investors

We have not approached anyone for investment as yet but now we are developing an Online Education Portal – Bridging the Students, School and Parents for which we need to look at the Investments.

My role at different dimensions as the company evolved

As the company Evolved, I have grown from Business Developer which I Still Concentrate meeting Clients to Development and Recruitments. The work involves in all the departments which needs to be Overseen. In Simple Terms Do it Or Get It Done.

Three big lessons/ mistakes encountered while building company
In Entrepreneurship you have to earn to survive and as an early start we also tend to innovate with lot of things in the process you learn at every Step, So more than Mistakes I call it experience Gained.
Advice for fellow entrepreneurs

There is No Short Cut to Success, Business is like Giant wheel with Ups and downs- End of the Day it is fun.

My thoughts related to entrepreneurship/ leadership and management
You are in a war. You must plan to take the other guy down first and do it. Winning is not the best thing; it's the only thing. If it were not, no one would keep score. To win the war, you must take charge. You must set the organization's objectives, establish a chain of control, delegate, appraise performance, adjust and act.
As a leader how I make sure that I am connecting the right dots

Believe in your team’s objectives – To believe in what you want the team to accomplish?  Model the behavior you want from the team - Don’t be a hypocrite — lead by example. Keep a positive attitude - It does mean, however, that you try to look at the glass as being half full rather than half empty. Instead of saying, for example, “This project will never succeed because of issues 1, 2, and 3,” consider saying, “If we want this project to succeed, it’s critical that we resolve issues 1, 2, and 3.”  Be clear about your goals - It’s hard for your team to accomplish its goals if those goals are unclear or unknown to them. Set expectations - Make sure your team knows what to expect of you. If they do, there’s less chance that they’ll be unpleasantly surprised or disappointed.

Best company I admire globally

Google -Why it's admired-Google maintains its reign as the king of search. The company is also spreading through its deep dive into devices with its free, open-source operating systems.Google says that it activates devices loaded with its Android operating system at a rate of over 10 million every month - a number that continues to explode. Outside of devices, the company has seen growth in YouTube, display advertising and even paid enterprise applications.
