Short Description

Proof of Performance (POP) is and outdoor data service provider and offers various innovative solutions which allow organizations to plan, monitor and analyzetheir outdoor campaigns across the country with increased reliability as well as accuracy. POP is committed to help media plannersto reach out to their target audience in a cost effective manner. POP provides data, from locations that are geographically spread out, to the desk of media planners through its Planning tool and Dashboard. It also offers monitoring services for entire outdoor campaign on a pan India basis. Unlike traditional methods of relying on still photographs which have its own limitation in terms of monitoring, POP have made a giant leap forward and have come out with 15 sec. video ‘Drive ThrOOH’ of each of the media asset , which is first of its kind in India. It also extracts business intelligence from these videos covering entire media landscape of the city. The automated and segmented traffic count carried out by POP can help medial planners to gain an idea of the expected audience count and their profile.

My Managerial Team

POP has evolved out of the power of Ideas contest 2010, and was incubated at IIM-Ahmedabad. The funding received from Department of Science is a testimony to the faith it puts in the business model of the organization.
The management team at POP includes young and dynamic professionals under the able leadership of industry veterans like Mr. P V Narayanamoorthy, who besides having a valuable experience of 35 years in this industry have the credit of working with industry legends like David Ogilvy, SubrotoSen Gupta, Mani Iyer and Roda Mehta. The POP team is committed to make outdoor industry more scientific and transparent.


How I Lead

As a managing director of an innovation led start-up venture, It becomes extremely important to have a clear vision and foresight to gauge the upcoming challenges, which might clearly shape the destiny of the organization. Besides providing strategic direction, currently I am also involved in business development as it becomes a real challenge to develop credibility and faith over an innovative service.
Currently we are aiming to be the leading data services provider to the outdoor industry and assist it’s clients to design better campaigns by giving them proof of the performance. We are reaching out to various clients and are familiarizing them with our services.

Dealing with Challenges and Risks
With the kind of service we envisage, we will certainly require support from various stakeholders and we are working towards seeking the same. While we are trying to bring objectivity and transparency, it’s quite obvious that our journey would not be smooth. Thus keeping the entire team motivated, pose to be the biggest concern.
Luckily, our entire team is extremely passionate about their work and motivation comes from within. In addition to that, we carry out weekly workshops from industry veterans, to continuously enhance their skills and keep the spark of learning within them ignited. We are working towards making our workplace as much fun as learning.

My Family
I am a first generation entrepreneur. My Father is a civil engineer and he retired as an army colonel. My mother is a homemaker. Also, I have a sister who is currently working as a senior project manager in USA.


My View on Indian Startup Ecosystem
There is a sudden outburst of entrepreneurship ventures in our country over the past decade or so. However, a mere desire to pursue a venture backed by some idea would not be sufficient to make it large. Perseverance and ability to make the organization agile are extremely important in this highly dynamic environment. With increasing competition and innovations flowing all around, one need to have a clear roadmap for the future and that plan should be equally flexible to take on any challenge posed from the external or internal environment.
My Role Model
Steve Jobs. I personally loved his never back down attitude. Even after forced to quit Apple, he never gave up and continued with his ideas. Finally he succeeded in making Apple, what he wanted it to be.



To Entrepreneurs and Innovators
Entrepreneurship could be very challenging, as a lot of fire fighting is on, one has to get used to working without any perks, it is not always smooth sailing. So anyone who takes the plunge has to be well prepared to take on this advantage journey. Therefore be no fixed formula to know when you are ready to embark on your entrepreneurial journey, you will just know it.
