The Evolution of Product Promotion
In this practice, companies use the sales forces and strengths or another company to promote its own brand, for mutual benefit. The most popular case being, that of Intel and PC/Laptop manufacturers, who generally carry a tag of 'Intel Inside'. The more recent use is that of promoting products via movies or shows, where the lead is shown using the product of a particular company. This not only helps the weak company a helping hand, but is also useful for the famous brands to trickle down to the local markets.
