Russia
Russia, one of the world's two energy superpowers, is rich in natural energy resources. It has the largest known natural gas reserves of any state on earth, along with the second largest coal reserves, and the eighth largest oil reserves. Many surrounding countries are dependent on Russian energy.
The fall of the Soviet Union in 1991 caused the Russian oil production to drop by 50 percent. The production is currently growing again. The petrol price based on PPP is $1.26 and diesel price is $1.09.
