Patni ties-up with Hitachi for joint promotion of JP1

Bangalore: Patni Computer Systems, a Bangalore based IT and BPO services company, has tied up with Tokyo based electronics firm Hitachi for joint promotion of the integrated systems management 'JP1' in emerging markets. Patni along with Hitachi will provide system configuration and 'JP1' support for Japanese and local companies in markets like India and the Middle East.
The IT service provider will build up a team of up to 100 'JP1' engineers who will be responsible for providing onsite support. Additionally, Patni will join Hitachi in marketing activities of 'JP1'.
The company has been collaborating with Hitachi since 1997 in developing a variety of software products. Soichi Oyama, Senior General Manager of Hitachi Software Division said, "Hitachi and Patni have a long history of collaboration. I am glad that, with this collaboration in 'JP1' a new chapter in partnership will begin."
