Bangalore: Nokia, one of the largest handset makers, is all set to join the league of tablets, but with a different perspective. In an exclusive interview Nokia's CEO Stephen Elop stated that even if Nokia associates itself with tablet market, it will make a unique introduction and will not enter the market until and unless it is not satisfied with its development. However it did not reveal any specific date of its release. "There are now over 200 different tablets in the market, only one of them is doing really well and my challenge to the team is I do not want to be the 201st tablet on the market that you cannot tell from all of the others. To be clear, by the time Nokia releases their tablet there will be 300 tablet PCs on the market and probably a few generations of iPad." said Stephen Elop, Nokia CEO. Although Nokia has innumerable options lined it might adopt Microsoft software and might come out with a Windows tablet taking their present partnership into account or Nokia might use one of its software itself. Stephen further stated that Nokia has no intention of being just another iPad follower in the game, hence will access its strategy appropriately before its launch. Stephen also revealed that Nokia Windows's phones would arrive by 2011 end. He added that his findings exposed that Symbian would take too long to take on the established smartphone operating systems and if Nokia had adopted Android it would have been difficult to differentiate its products in the market. Hence given its infrastructure windows phone was the best option left to them.
