According to Forbes, he is currently the third wealthiest Indian, and 36th richest in the world, with a personal wealth of $16.8 billion in 2011. In 2000, he was voted among the 20 most powerful men in the world by Asiaweek. He has twice been listed among the 100 most influential people by TIME Magazine, once in 2004 and more recently in 2011.The Wipro head, who gave away a massive $2 billion to charity, last December, saw his net worth decline from $17.6 billion. Savitri Jindal Savitri Jindal, India's only woman billionaire, head of Jindal Steel, is securing the fifth position in the list. She is also a member of Haryana Vidhan Sabha and MLA. In 2011, Savitri Jindal is listed by Forbes as the world's 56th and India's 5th richest woman having net worth of $13.2 Billion, as well as for having more children than any other billionaire mother. But her fortune declined to $9.5 billion from $14.4 billion. Jindal was one of only five women on the list of one hundred.
