Indian founded Axtria raises $2.5 Million

Bangalore: Axtria, which provides business analytics technology and services to improve effectiveness in sales, distribution, marketing and customer operations, has raised $2.5 million in Series A financing. The financing was led by Sequoia Capital India. Private investors including Richard Braddock - Chairman and CEO of FreshDirect, Amarpreet Sawhney - CEO of Octux and Sandeep Tyagi - Chairman and Managing Director of Estee Advisors also joined the round.
In conjunction with this financing, Braddock and Sawhney will join Axtria's board of directors. Axtria will use proceeds from the financing to develop sales, distribution and marketing analytics software products and to expand its current U.S.-based operations into India. "Axtria is developing next generation sales, distribution and marketing analytics software that will put the power of predictive analytics in the hands of sales, distribution and marketing decision makers," said Jaswinder Chadha, Co-Founder, President and CEO of Axtria. "Our products are supported by experienced consultants who know the industries they serve."
