Bangalore: Digital imaging and printing solutions company has unveiled its new wireless EB-825 projector. It has been designed to deliver low cost of operation for both business and education environments.
The new Epson EB-825 projector features Epsons 3LCD technology and has a resolution of 1024 x 768 with a brightness rating of 3000 lumens and a contrast ratio of 2000:1 that enable sharper and clearer projections. The Epson EB-825 projector uses a 3-chip, solid-state 3LCD optical engine. The Epson EB-825 projector also features "whiteboard and blackboard mode" that adjusts images to suit the background they are being projected making it suitable for the educational market. The projector also supports six other colour modes that optimise it for display of different content: Dynamic, Presentation, Theatre, sRGV, Sports and Photo. Also, the Epson EB-825 projector's E-TORL lamp sports an elliptical reflector, combined with an additional twin sub-reflector unit which gathers light that would otherwise be lost and redirects it back to the rear elliptical reflector and into the projector's optics. This design helps the E-TORL lamp achieve a 20 percent brighter image compared to a conventional lamp with the same power input and significantly reduces the waste heat that results from lost light in ordinary lamp designs. As a result, users save significant costs on both power consumption and lamp replacements.
The Epson EB-825 multimedia projector is priced at
77,800 and will be available from July 2009.
According to the company, the EB-825 projector offers users the convenience of cable-free projections from wirelessly networked computers and projections of JPG image files stored in flash drives or PCs using its USB port. It also features convenient access panels that allow users to clean or change its air filter or lamp easily. The projector also sports a 10-watt integrated speaker which can play sounds from videos or presentations to save the users from the hassle of connecting an extra set of speakers.
