One of the epicenters of the foreclosure crisis, Sacramento is one of the areas hardest hit by government cutbacks. Even the Mayor Johnson’s chief of staff, Kunal Merchant has made a Twitter posting stating Sacramento as the worst economic region in Western hemisphere. The gap between Sacramento and other areas has deepened in 2011. Also, the structural factors will result in long-term unemployment.
