Mark Bao
World\'s Youngest Entrepreneurs
The first encounter with entrepreneurship in the fifth grade, Mark Bao used Visual Basic 6.0 to write a simple computer application that managed his homework assignments and helped him write school papers. Later he copied the program onto floppy discs and sold them to his friends. He came up with his first start-up when he was in the first year of his high school, which was an event management system for debate organizations called as Debateware.com and sold it to the highest debate organization in the U.S. Currently, he has launched more than 11 web-based companies, of which he sold three, along with three non-profit foundations.
