US Navy SEAL Team 6 – DEVGRU

DEVGRU or the United States Naval special Warfare Development Group (NSWDG) is one of the strongest secretive counter-terrorism and Special Mission Units (SMUs) in the US. DEVGRU aka SEAL Team 6 are the best soldiers and their expertise and training are supreme than all others. Most of DEVGRU information is highly classified and details of its activities are not usually remarked on by either the White House or the Department of Defense. Although DEVGRU was formed as a maritime counter-terrorism unit, it has more become a multi-functional special operations unit, which performs several roles such as high-risk personnel/hostage extractions and other specialized missions.

German GSG 9

The elite Special Force, German GSG 9 is a counter terrorism and special operation unit. It was established in 1970s and since then German GSG 9 has become one of the best and powerful Special Forces in the world. The need for such force was surfaced during 1972, the time when Germany hosted Olympics. During that time, 11 Israeli athletes were kidnapped and killed and German Police were failed to free the athletes as their forces were not trained to handle such crucial situations. It has been observed that since their inception in 1973, the German GSG 9 have accomplished over 1,500 missions, followed by only firing their weapons five times.
