Eike Fuhrken Batista da Silva is a Brazilian tycoon and owner and President of EBX Group. This group consists of five companies namely MMX (mining), MPX (energy), OGX (petroleum), LLX (logistics) and OSX (offshore industry). These five companies are listed in BOVESPA which is a stock exchange located in Sao Paulo, Brazil where enterprises with the highest standards of corporate governance are listed. In 2010 Forbes ranked Batista as the 58th most powerful person in the world and in 2011 he was listed by Forbes as the 8th richest person in the world. At present his net worth is $31.6 billion.
