9. Samsung: Founded by the Korean businessman Lee Byung-chul, Samsung was first promoted through the Olympics as it was the local sponsor for the Seoul 1988 Olympic Games. Samsung is one of the leading producers of electronic products along with Sony and Apple. It provides televisions, monitors, printers, air conditioners, refrigerators, washing machines and medical devices.
Its products also include communication systems, computers, handheld products and digital cameras. Samsung is the 9th best tech brand and has done well because it jumped five spots from last year and is 52nd out of 100 this year.
10. eBay: The company that is worth 60 billion dollars provides an online market for sale of goods and services. This multi-billion dollar business founded by Pierre Omidyar, is placed 10th among the most powerful brands of 2014. It has done significantly well as it has gained 58 spots over the past five years and is ranked 59th out of the 100 most valuable companies.
