Sistema Sac Actun, meaning "White Cave System", is an underwater cave system situated along the Caribbean coast of the Yucatan Peninsula. It has passages to the north and west of the village of Tulum, in Mexico. It is the second largest cave system in the world, after Ox Bel Ha. In March 2008, three divers of Global Underwater Explorers, discovered the remains of mastodon at a depth of 57 meters in a section of Sac Actun. They also discovered a human skull at 43 meters depth, a very ancient evidence of early man.
